Celebrating the Holidays in the Lake Norman and Charlotte Area - Our favorite winter activities 2020!
If there was ever a time for us to deck the halls and soak in the holiday magic, it's this year!
Elevate loves the holidays, and we want to help get everyone into the holiday spirit with our favorite Winter and holiday activity suggestions.

Lights:
- Christmas Town USA: Drive or walk through the town of McAdenville, it's worth the trip!
- Speedway Christmas An amazing light display at the speedway!
- Hillside Drive in Myers Park to see their display of holiday lights!
- Festival of Trees in Belmont, another close drive for a great family activity!
- NC Transportation Museum Lights A drive-thru experience for the first time ever!
- Holidays at the Garden at Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden
- Zootastic Christmas wonderland of lights!
Movies:
- Bella Love Inc. and Old Town Cornelius host a drive-in at the LKN YMCA! They have a whole line up of all of your favorite holiday movies.
- Hounds Drive-In Another drive-in with great holiday favorites!
- Skyline Drive-In at Camp North End Great lineup of holiday favorites on Thursday nights through December!
Fun Activities:
- Ice Skating at the National WWC and don't forget to walk the light trail too!
- Metropolitan Letters to Santa Now through 12.24, all supplies provided!
- Gingerbread Lane at the Ballantyne Hotel is a beautiful display of gingerbread creations!
- Bells Box Collective Schedule a private workshop with some family or friends, a great way to get crafty and support a small business while being safe!
- SkillPop Book a virtual class with some friends or family, and gather to learn a new skill, or a fun holiday themed activity!
Shopping:
- Metropolitan Merry Midtown Market On 12.5 10am-4pm Support all local, handmade, and small businesses!
- VTGCLT Created in direct response to the cancellation of many in-person events in 2020, shop local CLT businesses!
- Charlotte Christmas Village at Truist Field A new holiday market experience, with walk-through light displays, delicious food, and great shopping!
- Bells Box Collective Check out her adorable online shop for great gift ideas, available to ship or for local pickup!
