Where to Pick Pumpkins around the Lake Norman and Charlotte area

Fall in NC means that (most of!) the humidity is turned off and replaced with beautifully warm sunny days, and dreamy cooler nights.

As soon as Lake Norman feels the heat lamp is dimmed just a tad, you know we're looking for some Fall fun!

So here's your master list of pumpkin patches you should visit around the Charlotte area as you get into the Fall spirit...

Although we know it's still a bit too hot to add our pumpkins and jack o'lanterns to our front porches, it doesn't hurt to plan ahead, right?!

Mount Ulla, NC
Pumpkin market and an ice cream shop with seasonal flavors
"Fall at The Farm" experience that includes access to farm activities like a playground, barnyard, train ride, corn maze and more. Tickets are required and start at $14.99 (kids two and under are free).
The "Fun on the Farm" experience will run Monday-Friday noon-5pm, Saturday-Sunday 9am-5pm
The fall season runs September 16th - November 2nd
The farm is open daily from 9am-6pm

Charlotte, NC
One evening in the Fall the field turns into a pumpkin patch with thousands of pumpkins, vendors and live music
**The date for the 2024 Knights Pumpkin Patch has not been announced**
Pumpkins are sold on a first-come, first-served basis

Charlotte, NC
7 days a week: Admission is free with a pumpkin patch, hay bales for climbing, barn animals, photo ops, picnic areas
Saturdays and Sundays: $5 parking, hayrides (additional fee), farm shop, drinks and seasonal treats for purchase
The Fall season runs September 28th - October 31st
Open daily from 9am-6pm

Dallas, NC
Pick-your-own pumpkin patch, hayrides, chick feeding, plus 100 varieties of pumpkins, a farm store and kid's area with tire mountains, swings, slides and more
**The 2024 start date for the pumpkin patch has not been announced**
Hayrides are offered on weekends in September, and daily in October for $7.50 and includes a medium-sized pumpkin from the patch
Open Monday-Friday 9am-6:30pm, Saturday 9am-6pm, Sunday noon-6p

Ramseur, NC
Autumn Harvest Adventure includes pumpkin patch and sunflower field, a four-ounce apple cider slushie, pumpkin seed tasting, an apple cider demonstration, a hayride, and a meet-and-greet with baby Highland cows
The Autumn Harvest Adventure will run on Saturdays and Sundays in October. It's $18.95 per person and free for kids under two.
The Orchard is open Monday-Saturday 9am-6pm and Sunday 1-5:30pm
506 Parks Crossroads Church Road, Ramseur, NC

Shelby, NC
Admission to the farm includes a hayride to the pumpkin patch, an 8-acre corn maze and courtyard activities. On Fridays and Saturdays there’s also a haunted corn maze after dark.
Admission is $15. Dogs are allowed at the farm but must be leashed.
Fall season runs September 14th - October 27th
Open Fridays 4-10pm, Saturdays 10am-10pm and Sundays 2-8pm
120 Broadway Drive, Shelby, NC

Indian Trail, NC
U-pick pumpkins and farm activities including like corn pits and wagon rides
Homemade pizzas are offered through pre-orders on the weekends
Admission is $3 per person (without pizza) or $29 for two pizzas, plus $3 per person admission
Pumpkins are 79 cents per pound, other activities cost extra
Reservations are required and will open September 9th
Fall season runs September 14th - November 3rd

York, SC
U-pick pumpkins begin September 28th
U-pick pumpkins, a walking trail, and a cafe with apple cider donuts, ice cream, hot dogs and quesadillas

Rock Hill, SC
Their fall festival includes self-guided tours, pumpkin patch, hayrides, two-acre corn maze, farm animals, kids’ activities and free popcorn (Admission is $10 and free for kids under 2)
The fall festival runs every Saturday (10am-6pm) and Sunday (1-6pm) in October
You can also go just to pick pumpkins - no admission fee
1922 Oakdale Road, Rock Hill, SC

Lancaster, SC
7-acre corn maze as well as a small corn maze, pumpkin picking, musical hayride, apple cider doughnuts and bonfires
Pumpkin picking starts September 20th
Admission is free, pumpkins are 70 cents per pound, hayrides are $4 and corn maze is $4/small corn maze and $11/large corn maze
